The go-e Charger Gemini flex has once again proven its worth as a reliable and high-performing wallbox. In a recent test conducted by Auto Bild and the P3 Institute, the Charger was named one of the two best wallboxes. Moreover, now it holds the title of price-performance winner with a score of 1.0.
What Was the Wallbox Test About?
The magazine Auto Bild, in partnership with the P3 Institute, carried out comprehensive testing of 10 wallboxes. This is the second time a go-e product has won the title of price-performance ratio winner. Last year, our go-eCharger HOMEfix 11 kW was also named the best wallbox in a test conducted by ADAC, ÖAMTC and Stiftung Warentest. The test results serve as a strong reminder that price does not always reflect quality.
Installer and End-Customer Benefits Criteria
In the Auto Bild test, go-e was the only manufacturer with installation and commissioning according to the plug-and-play principle.
The wallboxes were evaluated on a variety of criteria. The evaluation for installers included testing on the following five items:
From a customer’s point of view, three points were tested:
The standardised test catalogue included a total of 25 test categories with 93 individual tests. On the subject of safety, for instance, the triggering of residual current detection was tested. There were also long-term tests, which analysed the charging behaviour as a central point, but also the self-consumption in standby mode. All tests were carried out with an Audi e-tron 55 quattro 300 and BMW i4 M50.
What is the go-e Charger Gemini flex?
With its mobile design, the go-e Charger Gemini flex offers exceptional flexibility and freedom, allowing you to charge your electric car anytime and anywhere - even on the go. You can purchase the smart wallbox in 11 kW and 22 kW variants. When on a trip or visiting friends and family, you can easily charge your electric car with Gemini flex by plugging it into a red CEE socket and any other socket with a suitable go-e adapter.
If you are going to use your wallbox in one place only (e.g. at home), the go-e Charger Gemini is a great option. It’s intended for permanent installation by an electrician. Except for its stationary design, the wallbox offers the same impressive functionality as the mobile Gemini flex model, which was also highlighted in the Auto Bild test.
Both wallboxes are IP65 certified, which means they are well protected against dirt and water and suitable for permanent outdoor operation.
